Pew, MPI, CMS, and CRS estimates show ~14-16 million unauthorized immigrants by end-2024 (~4-5% of ~340M total population per Census data), far below the claimed 20% (1 in 5). Even the higher FAIR estimate (~18.6M) does not reach this level.
